Tania Fabris

“My predecessors were artists and the creativity and freedom to express thought, feeling and emotion through artistic representation is commonplace within my family. Winning a state art award at the aged of 10 for my impressions of Perth City’s skyline was the beginning of a lifelong passion and pursuit of the Arts and its many variations and forms”.

As an active West Australian artist, my objective is to create works of art that reflect and respond to my environment – whether it be social, cultural or environmental. Using a range of artistic mediums to best suit each individual project, the process of my artistic resolutions become a fundamental component. Through a fluid and flexible approach, the complexities of my creation are developed until the intended emotive response becomes a tangible object. It is then the audience can respond to the work based on their own social and cultural dispositions, and in doing so respond to the piece cognitively and emotionally.
